SoCal based eyewear brand, GLVSS, is showing the world that great quality and craftmanship don't have to come at a $500 designer price point.
I have a love/hate relationship with sunglasses. On the one hand, I fucking love them because a good pair of sunnies that feel great and fit perfect make me feel like a positive balance bank account.
On the other hand, I fucking hate them because I (like many people) break or lose or get said pair stolen and its one of the worst fucking feelings. Like you having a great day fade at Ice Cream Sundays @ Lock & Key in K-Town, dancing with mad girls and they taking selfies while doing shots with you. Then you wake up (still in your clothes) trying to piece together the shenanigans while making sure you still have everything. iPhone? Check. Wallet? Check. Sunglasses? Dammit...
Great news for those of you who are unfortunately like my blackout self! GLVSS eyewear is bringing amazing designer quality sunglasses at a greatly appreciated sub-$100 price point. Not as losable as cheap newsstand joints, but not breaking the bank while still giving you amazing designer level quality.
I'd put them on par with my personal feel of owning like Marc Jacobs or Garrett Leight, but more solid. Kinda like eating at Fleming's Steakhouse, leaps and bounds tastier than Black Angus (RIP) and you're totally content and not upset you didnt pay double/triple for like Mastro's. If you're Vegan, you may not know that comparison so theres another thing you can be bummed on not getting.
All GLVSS frames are UNISEX and hand made in limited quantities out of premium Italian acetate with durable stainless steel core hinges. Scratch-resistant CR39 lenses and 100% UVA/UVB protective.
In any case, here are some of my favorite picks from GLVSS. Click the images to cop or click here for their full collection on TheDrop where they're running a promo for the holidays: Buy One, Get One 50% off through midnight on Christmas Day.
