DGK has recently collaborated with the family of Bruce Lee to create a new collection of streetwear and skateboard decks inspired by the legend himself. Scroll for more.
Dirty Ghetto Kids (DGK) is a Los Angeles based skateboard and apparel company. DGK is for those who come from nothing. It represents turning a negative into a positive and making something out of nothing against all odds.
There will never be another Bruce Lee. The man was a true master of his craft. Or should we say crafts? Bruce Lee was an actor, director, martial artist, martial arts instructor and philosopher. The difference between him and anybody that tries to follow in his footsteps is dedication. His story is a classic tale of the underdog; an unknown artist overcoming insurmountable odds and stereotypes to change the world. Sadly Bruce Lee died while working on the script for his last film Game of Death. Even more tragic his son Brandon Lee was killed while working on a scene for The Crow in 1993. Our hope is that both father and son are resting in peace looking down and saying damn those decks are dope. DGK has been inspired by the Bruce Lee story and is honored to partner with his family on this new collection. It features DGKs skilled craftsmanship and stunning Kung Fu graphics from some of Bruce Lee’s greatest accomplishments. Our favorite is this Nunchuck Deck. We’re not really sure if we prefer the Yin & Yang graphics on top or the Nunchucks on the bottom, but the bottom line is this deck kicks ass!
