Ewing Athletics has once again collaborated with Hip Hop legend Cormega on this sic new colorway of the Sport Lite.
In 1989 Ewing Athletics became the first independent basketball brand when Patrick Ewing became the first professional basketball player to have his own shoe company. In 2012 he relaunced the brand and today it’s still bring the heat that put them on the map back in the day. Cormega, known by the government as Cory McKay, is an American rapper and songwriter. His musical debut was sparked by a shout-out from Nas on his song "One Love", from the critically acclaimed Illmatic album while Cormega was serving time in prison.
The first collab between Ewing and Cormega utilized the 33 HI platform. This time they chose the Sport Lite. Originally the first cross trainer available from the Ewing line in 1993 the Sport Lite was the brand’s first cross training model. The upper features an upgraded premium suede material along with a gum outsole and custom Cormega branding and packaging and he autographed the first 100 boxes.
