Ewing Athletics just released a new version of their classic Focus sneaker that is a tribute to Knicks great John Starks and his iconic dunk. Scroll for more.
In 1989 Ewing Athletics became the first independent basketball brand when Patrick Ewing became the first professional basketball player to have his own shoe company. In 2012 he relaunched the brand and today it’s still bring the heat that put them on the map back in the day.
The Focus was originally worn by Patrick during the 1993 NBA Regular Season and Playoffs. Now it’s back in recognition of one of the most iconic dunks ever made. In Game 2 of the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals, John Starks rose above Chicago Bulls Michael Jordan and Horace Grant to deliver The Dunk heard round the world. That one play at Madison Square Garden cemented John Starks into Knicks folklore forever. Will this shoe do that for you? Probably not, but heads will turn. That’s guaranteed.
