We share the story behind Androo’s Art, a streetwear/art brand born in Houston, Texas.

Androo’s Art is a streetwear/wearable art brand that was founded by fine artist, Androo Murray in 2009. Incorporating his early training as a portrait artist, Androo uses traditional techniques to make powerful digital creations with the help of his trusty iPad. His early study in portraiture has proven invaluable in his ability to paint digitally while maintaining a natural look and feel with varied brush strokes in every piece he creates. Androo’s inspiration comes from the social and economic climate of the world and his place in it as a Black American. He also draws from his early days as a high level athlete, as well as his spiritual faith and personal experiences. Although based in Houston, TX, you can find Androo’s art on canvases, apparel and sneakers in nearly every developed country globally. Many professional athletes and entertainers such as Deion Sanders and Usher Raymond commission artwork from Androo regularly, and his most notable work was for the late Dr. Maya Angelou. His conversation with the legend fueled his effort to share his work with the world.
