Staple Pigeon has collaborated with Shanghai footwear brand Feiyue to create a sleek new iteration of their classic Fe Lo 1920 sneaker.
Founded by Jeff Staple in 1997, Staple Pigeon is a world-renowned brand which reflects the gritty and never-ending energy New Yorkers (and all urban dwellers) possess. It not only exists as a representation of New York, but The Pigeon is also the influence behind Staple’s extensive apparel range and collaborative items available across the world. More than 20 years later the brand is still going strong and continues to be a positive social contagion.
Feiyue literally means “Flying Forward” and symbolizes the dual elevation of both body and mind. This lightweight canvas plimsoll first hit the streets of Shanghai in the 1920’s famous for its robustness, flexibility and comfort. Bringing together all walks of life, from workers, Shaolin Monks to politicians, Feiyue crossed borders and generations to land in France in 2006. Without losing any of its authentic vintage charm, this lightweight canvas shoe then underwent a series of transformations. Their DNA gradually evolved, combining French and international influences.
Merging heritage with Feiyue’s classic functionality, the footwear brand flocks together with Staple’s iconic Pigeon to create a one of a kind collab the Staple x Feiyue Premium Black. Staying true to the classic design of the Fe Lo 1920, this style adds unique touches including a tumbled leather upper, detailed Pigeon embroidery and branded eyelets.
