The Boondocks anime series actually began as a comic strip which ran from 1996 to 2006.It was a daily syndicated comic strip written and originally drawn by Aaron McGruder. In 2005 it became a series and the show begins with a black family, the Freemans, settling into the fictional, friendly and overall white suburb of Woodcrest. It’s a mixture of cultures, lifestyles, social classes, stereotypes, viewpoints and racialized identities. The series ended on June 23, 2014, but it was announced that Sony Pictures Animation would be producing a reboot of the television series set to premiere in 2022 with McGruder’s involvement. It’s important to note that deKryptic is the only The Boondocks Officially Licensed Merchandise Seller. If it ain’t signed it ain’t real.
“Say hello to my little friend”. We all know who said it first. It was a hyped up Tony Montana who was about to do damage with his M-16 with a grenade launcher. Speaking of damage, think about the commotion you’ll stir up when you show up rocking this Say Hello To My Little Friend Pink T-Shirt. Featuring a riled up Riley with a Super Soaker with fully embroidered and vinyl imagery, this tee says the world is yours.
