Come check out the latest and greatest from the homies at Solepack including this college athlete collab with basketball phenom Tish Emmanuel.
The Solepack journey began in the Staten Island-NYC area around the late 90s. The cultural hotbed of NYC around those times played a heavy influence on the movement. As a student, commuter, bballer, sneaker enthusiast, runner, hiker, & traveler Solepack’s founder, Michael Sala, always needed a way to store his shoes on the go. Constantly running out of room in his backpack, Mike would end up carrying around a plastic bag just for shoes. He looked for a product that let him store his shoes on his backpack, but there were none… so Mike invented one himself!
Connecting with NYC roots is always a must for Mike. That’s why this special project Tish Emmanuel (@fre5shprince) was a natural fit from the get. Chasing dreams and greatness is what it’s all about and TIsh symbolizes that 100%. Born in Trinidad and Tobago and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Nazareth Regional HS and secured the City and State Championships. Then he took his talents next to SUNY Potsdam, then Albany Tech College. He earned stripes and grabbed some shine at local tourneys like W4th, Maine Event, BSBL, and Dunkers Delight.
“What Drives Me? – mamba Mentality definitely fuels my everyday life. On and Off the court 100%. Being an underdog all my life, I pride myself on consistently being able to elevate in every aspect of life. For the Tish Emmanuel brand, I just want to show people that no matter what obstacles are in your way, you just need to keep pushing. Nobody cares about your story until you win, so win!” – Tish Emmanuel
