deKryptic has just announced a new pre-order of dope tees in collaboration with The Boondocks.
deKryptic is the combination of both the fashion industry and the technology industry working hand in hand to create something the world has never seen before…Augmented Reality Apparel & Accessories! The brand is creating a new social environment for consumer products where people can now express themselves in a whole new way. This time they put the augmented stuff on the back burner to focus on a new product line for 2020.
The Boondocks anime series actually began as a comic strip which ran from 1996 to 2006. Written and originally drawn by Aaron McGruder, it became an anime series in 2005. The show revolved around a black family, the Freemans, settling into the fictional, friendly and overall white suburb of Woodcrest. It’s a mixture of cultures, lifestyles, social classes, stereotypes, viewpoints and racialized identities. The series ended on June 23, 2014, but it was announced that a reboot is set to premiere in 2022 with McGruder’s involvement. Stay tuned.
