Tango Hotel continues their Canvas Reality Series with another tribute to renowned artist Wassily Kandinsky.
The Canvas to Reality Series, is an initiative by streetwear brand Tango Hotel that gives artists a new medium to express themselves and their creative talents. Artists range from pioneers of contemporary art, abstract, and surrealist art to artists of sound and motion. In addition to truly appreciated art, the brand looks to the founders of movements and styles.
An early champion of abstract painting, Wassily Kandinsky is known for his lyrical style and innovative theories on non figurative art. In 1910, Kandinsky made famous his belief that abstract colors and forms can be used to express the “inner life” of the artist.
We’re huge fans of the Canvas to Reality Series from Tango, so when we heard Tango was paying tribute to Kandinshy again, there was a buzz around the office. The one item that immediately caught our attention were these Kandinsky Shorts in Black. Kandinsky’s trademark abstract style artwork highlights the shorts which feature slip pockets on the side and are the perfect length to show off that leg work.
