Streetwear brand Billionaire Boys Club has just added some heat to their summer collection. We take a deeper dive.
Not gonna lie but when we first heard the name Billionaire Boys Club we immediately thought of the NFL owners association, but then we came to our senses. Billionaire Boys Club (BBC) is a streetwear clothing and accessory brand created in 2003 by Pharrell Williams and Nigo. Since then the brand has branched out from its online origin, setting up stores in Tokyo, Japan, New York and London. In 2011 Jay-Z got involved and helped the company achieve record sales upwards of 30 million. Not quite a billion, but today BBC is still going strong and sky’s the limit.
When we were deciding on an item to feature from BBC, it wasn’t easy so we chose this Amaranth Spectrum Tee. If you didn’t know, amaranth is a reddish-rose color that is a representation of the color of the flower of the amaranth plant. We simply chose this tee because one it has an astronaut on it and two, this is the first time we’ve ever heard a shirt color called amaranth and three…yes we had to google it.
