Legendary skateboard brand Santa Cruz offers up some updated skate decks that a built to withstand the test of time.
Founded in 1975 by Richard Novak, Doug Haut and Jay Shuirman Santa Cruz is currently the oldest continuous skateboard company in the world and needs no introduction. The “Screaming Hand”, designed by Jim Phillips Sr. in 1985, is the main logo of the Santa Cruz brand. The logo has become a skateboarding icon and is recognized widely throughout the skateboarding community.
As you already know Santa Cruz has been producing some of the best hardwood in skateboarding history for just about as long as we can remember. In case you didn’t know, these new VX decks are thinner, stronger and they have more pop than standard 7 ply decks. That’s because they feature 5 plies of North American Maple and 2 layers of Quad X technology.
