Primitive has released a feel good collection of streetwear in collaboration with the iconic Kids TV series Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.
Primitive is at it again. This time they cohabitate with Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood which was a children’s daytime television series created by Fred Rogers that actually began in Canada and made its US debut in 1968. During each half-hour segment, Rogers speaks directly to the viewer about various topics, taking the viewer on tours of factories, demonstrating experiments, crafts, and music, and interacting with his friends. Each episode ended with Rogers singing “It’s Such a Good Feeling” when he takes off his sneakers as he says “You’re alive” in a higher toned voice and grabs his dress shoes to put back on. Then he would snap his fingers two times, take off his cardigan, grab his jacket and remind his viewers: “You always make each day a special day. You know how: By just your being you/yourself. There’s only one person in the whole world that’s like you, and that’s you. And people can like you just/exactly the way you are. I’ll be back next time. Bye-bye!”. Wow! We certainly could use more of this back in our lives. RIP Fred.
When you’re talking about Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, what item of clothing is more fitting than this Mister Rogers’ Hood? It’s cut from a 80% cotton 20% poly blend and features a feel good image on the front with another special message from Fred across the back. Proceeds from all sales go to the Fred Rogers Center whose mission is to stay true to the vision of Fred Rogers and help children grow as confident, competent and caring human beings. Now there’s a cause we can get behind!
