Footwear brand Freewaters has put their best foot forward with their lineup of Flip Flop sandals for spring 2020. Scroll for more.
Freewaters is a California-based company that was built for sustainability and giveback. The company was formed in 2010 and even before they sold their first pair of sandals, they established a clean water project in Kenya, Africa. They began making sandals and their first signature product was a pair dubbed “The Dude” no doubt inspired by the Big Lebowski. When it comes to being environmentally friendly Freewaters doesn’t play. They use PVC-free materials and water based glues for every pair of footwear created. In 2018 they introduced Responsibly Sourced Leather: by working with this award winning, Gold Certified supplier, 100% of the water used in the tanning process is naturally purified in on-site wetlands. In addition instead of using plastic polybags, their bags are made from a Cradle To Cradle® certified eco stone powder. Today the company has a full line of sandals and shoes and they also have many clean water projects and other global initiatives to their credit. Freewaters is a company that walks it like they talk it. Respect!
