XLARGE recently hooked up with Miami Based Artist ATOMIK for Miami Art Week. If you didn’t make the party you can still cop the collection. Scroll for more.
Iconic for its Gorilla logo, XLARGE is established as one of the originals and continues to influence generations of streetwear culture worldwide. The brand began as a shop in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Los Feliz, on Vermont street in 1991. Opened by Eli Bonerz and Adam Silverman, the store catered to their diverse community and was quickly adopted by personalities such as Mike D of the Beastie Boys, Spike Jonez, and Chloe Sevigny. The XLARGE clothing brand was a true reflection of its surroundings and Los Angeles lifestyle. The brand drew inspiration from work wear, vintage, and club scene aesthetics; to mid-century design, skateboarding and music influences.
In celebration of Miami Art Week, XLARGE teamed up with Miami based artist ATOMIK. The block party featured music from local artists and a basketball court located on the east side of Miami hat was dialed in with with ATOMIK’s iconic orange character and the classic XLARGE OG iconic Gorilla. The music and updated court weren’t the only stars of the event. A limited collection of gear was offered up including T-shirts, hoodies and more. Our favorite was this XLARGE x ATOMIK Long Sleeve and you can cop one now if you’re not asleep at the wheel.
